Overview

The Garage General Manager is responsible for managing daily operations. The Manager must always aim to exceed the expectations of the client, visitors and guests. The Manager must ensure that all team members are exceeding expectations.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions may include, but are not limited to:

Garage Operations

  • Culture of Safety
  • Service = Impressive team members and Proactive Ambassador operation
  • Appearance of Team and Cleanliness of Garage
  • Exceptional Customer Service! We are All Ambassadors!
  • Garage Staffing Schedule
    1. Manage Garage Staff Scheduling & Timesheets, and position coverage daily and per week
  • Other projects and assignments as business dictates

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise and support staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensures prompt investigation and resolution of complaints and incidents as relates to service delivery and in compliance with VPNE and client’s policy
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure various policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations are being correctly implemented

Garage Revenue Control

  • Ensure proper revenue handling procedures (Office Safes, Pay Station and Parking management system )
  • Ensure proper Exception & Pulse Log procedures
  • Perform routine garage revenue / integrity audits, including with appropriate revenue manager
  • Adhering to VPNE’s Revenue Controls Policy

 

 

Parking Equipment and Facilities Problems or Improvements.

  • Upkeep and observation, troubleshooting and maintenance, and reporting to Management and Client
  • Propose necessary upgraded and system enhancements
  • Maintain 5 year capital planning plan
  • Manage repairs and work orders as necessary with onsite client contacts and or outside vendor to ensure full facility functionality is always at optimal levels
  • Timely reporting of problems

Budgets/ Reporting

  • Client monthly reports & Client packages
  • Daily DCR & Deposit Log
  • Monthly DCR reconciliations 
  • Monthly Validations Report to Client- detailed logs for voucher distributions and orders
  • Produce annual budgets and adhering to budget
  • Ad Hoc reports

Client

  • Understand “Client’s Definition of Success,” deliver it and present it in very impressive manner
  • Building relationships with onsite client customers, Vendors and overall hospital community we serve with the outmost professionalism and care

Team Culture

  • Lead a positive, encouraging and supportive culture and work environment where people are clearly cared for and developed for growth opportunities within VPNE
  • Develop leadership skills to promote advancement opportunities for teams and overall success of the operations/ customers and clients alike

Qualifications

  • Flexibility to manage and support events and special functions
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • 5 years of direct staff management experience, service industry preferred
  • 5 years of revenue control experience with a retail bank, cashiers & multiple points of service
  • Experience with Amano McGann Parking Software
  • Experience with parking gate and loop systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate with client and VPNE management
  • Be able to drive operational, marketing and financial strategies to ensure maximum service and profitability
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of employees, as well as motivate and provide constructive feedback
  • Computer literate including Word, Excel, and Outlook and ability to quickly learn new software
  • Capable of handling a range of employee relations issues and follow progressive steps of discipline
  • Function independently within company guidelines
  • Must be proactive, customer focused and responsive
  • Excellent Driver with Active Driver’s License
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience in related field preferred 

Certification, Registration, or Licensure required by the Job
