    The Linen Worker is responsible for the daily transport, staging, cart make-up, distribution and resupply of clean linens throughout the facility.


    • Transport filled bins of clean linens
    • Stage filled bins of clean linen
    • Inventory of linen items on linen exchange carts, stationary linen carts, shelves and closets.
    • Record the quantities of linen items
    • Load linen, shelve or closet
    • Transports filled linen carts to designated distribution locations throughout the Hospital
    • Communicates with hospital staff
    • Collect soiled linen from the laundry chute for return to the Laundry
    • Receives daily delivery of bulk linen from the Laundry
    • Safety and well-being of all employees, customers, and co-workers
    • Reporting of all incidents in accordance with company policies
    • Any other duties specifically assigned by a supervisor or manager
    • Maintain cleanliness of linen room


    • Be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English
    • Be able to walk throughout the hospital
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
    • Ability to stand for long period of time, stooping and bending at the waist
    • lift linens and supplies that weight up to 50 lb. to a height of 5 feet.
    • Push and pull wheeled linen bins and carts weighing in excess of 600 pounds.
    • Counting and using simple arithmatic
    • Be willing to encounter infectious medical waste (i.e. feces, vomit, blood) while wearing appropriate protective equipment
    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • Be able and willing to smile during every customer interaction
    • Maintain uniform standards while around account
    • Be able to pass criminal background check
